He Shall Be Called

Message Replays Below

November 26 - December 17

Isaiah prophesied that a gift would be given to all mankind. A gift unlike any other. This gift would be a child that would one day become our Christ, but that child would not be what we would expect. Jesus didn’t come as a mighty warrior. Jesus didn’t come as a sage philosopher. Jesus didn’t come as a savvy politician. Jesus came as a child, and that child would become one of us so that we could become what He is. There’s more to this child than meets the eye.

Isaiah declared, “For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” That child grew to be a man and that man would attack everything that keeps us from His Father…doubt, acceptance, peace and sin. This Advent season we’re going to look at the four names Isaiah uses for Jesus and how those names can help us overcome our doubts and fears about this child and accept the greatest gift we’ve ever been given. God gave that gift to you. Will you receive it?
